Bordeaux Digital Printink and Trend, one of Italy’s largest suppliers of wide-format digital printing solutions, will present the complete offering of original sustainable inks in Hall 1, Stand M19/M11 at Viscom Italy in Fiera Milano, 16 - 18 October 2014.
‘We are excited about our partnership with Bordeaux for the past 5 years,’ said Roberto Vescarelli, owner of Trend. ‘Bordeaux today is recognised as the number 1 ink developer by print shops in Italy.’
In response to the growing demand in Italy for sustainable solutions, Bordeaux expanded its current portfolio of environmentally friendly inks to include Eco solvent, UV curable, UV LED and water-based dye sublimation inks. These original inks are developed by Bordeaux’s in-house ink engineers and chemists, for the latest popular printer technologies to ensure excellent jetability, printing quality and reliability.
‘Our Italian customers have successfully adapted sustainable printing practices like printing with Eco friendly inks, while reducing operating costs and delivering high quality, durable prints to their customers,’ said Matthew Reijnders, director of sales and business development for Bordeaux Digital Printink. ‘Bordeaux has redefined its high standards with the launch of the newest inks, which are all environmentally friendly and 100 per cent compatible with Mutoh, Mimaki, Epson and Roland printers,’ Reijnders added.
Bordeaux was one of the first companies to introduce Eco solvent inks designed for drop-on-demand piezo printheads, like the Epson DX printhead series. The newest printer specific Eco solvent inks will be demonstrated on a Mutoh Valuejet and on an Epson SureColor 30600. Bordeaux Eco solvent ink series are Mix & Match to OEM inks, for simple, zero downtime installation; excellent image quality; and adhesion on a range of media.
During Viscom Italy, Bordeaux will also showcase its low odour, rigid and flexible UV curable and UV LED digital ink technologies for super wide UV printers. The company will exhibit its complementary UV based adhesive promoters for pre-print to enhance adhesion on difficult surfaces such as plastic and glass as well as UV coatings and liquid laminates for post printing to increase protection, durability and image enhancement.
Another highlight at the show will be Bordeaux’s EDEN water-based dye sublimation inks for transfer or direct printing. The ink series produce washable and colour-fast images on Polyester fabrics which can be used for flags & banners and soft signage as well as sports apparel, indoor furnishings, fashion items, tents and more.
