Muller Martini Vareo in the spotlight at Xfair in Vienna

FULL STORY
The Vareo, which was first unveiled at the start of this year, was the centre of attention at the Muller Martini booth at Xfair in Vienna. In addition to the new perfect binder, other exciting machines and configurations were also presented to the enthusiastic visitors.

Muller Martini presented the new Vareo perfect binder, the Presto II Digital saddle stitcher and the Ventura MC 160 book sewing machine at Xfair

Muller Martini showcased the new Vareo perfect binder in Vienna together with machine components from Heidelberg in the workflow of a digital printing plant. The digitally printed content and cover were bound live at the stand using hotmelt and then trimmed on three sides in the final work step.

Gathering using the Presto II Digital
Muller Martini not only presented the Vareo, but also demonstrated how the Presto II Digital saddle stitcher lends itself to gathering sections. It can be used for making both digital and offset printed products. The digitally printed signatures were folded live using the TH 56 steel folder from Heidelberg and gathered on the Presto II Digital before the finished book block was perfect bound using the Vareo.

The Compact Ventura MC 160 Book Sewing Machine
The Muller Martini Ventura MC 160 book sewing machine, which is one meter shorter in length than the classic Ventura MC, impressed trade fair visitors not only with its compact design, but also numerous technological advances. The straight-forward and cost-effective new 160-cycle book sewing machine has a compact construction and is designed for the most common size and fold types. The demonstration not only met with great interest among the many visitors, but also prompted a Hungarian bookbindery to purchase the machine there and then.

New projects generated
Roland Henn, Managing Director of Muller Martini Austria, confirmed that there was great interest among visitors. "The solutions we presented led to many interesting discussions, which we will pursue in the coming weeks."
Thanks to Xfair, which was held for the first time, Austria now again has an interesting trade fair for the graphic arts industry. The second Xfair is to be held in April 2017.
