The installation of a highly automated eight-colour medium-format Rapida 106 began at Hofmann Infocom in Nuremberg, in December 2014. This is the first medium format sheetfed 4-over-4 perfector in Germany to feature LED-UV curing technology before and after perfecting. Additionally, the press is equipped with a coater after the printing units and a RS 106 reel-to-sheet unit. LED drying permits the immediate post-press of sheets which have been printed on both sides and finished inline.
KBA North America continues its stalwart backing of the graphic arts industry by supporting the Print UV 2015 conference as a platinum sponsor. Now in its eighth year, Print UV 2015 will take place at the Encore by Wynn Resort in Las Vegas from 1 – 3 March. Recognizing the importance of the continued growth of UV in the printing process, KBA has been a key sponsor of the conference since its inception.
Catering to commercial, packaging, and specialty converters and printers, Print UV is the first industry event focused exclusively on the UV printing market. During the three days in March, a full agenda of exciting topics and knowledgeable speakers has been assembled to encourage, promote, and sustain the growth of UV printing while also providing unparalleled networking opportunities with leading UV industry suppliers and some of the most elite printers in North America. Conference sessions will touch upon new ideas and growth opportunities in the UV market, discover new UV core processes, and present case studies from successful UV print initiatives from around the world.
