QuadTech, Inc. will present its portfolio of print quality and waste saving solutions to packaging printers and converters at its stand (hall A6, stand 672) at ICE Europe 2015, from 10 - 12 March, at the Munich Trade Fair Centre in Germany.

The QuadTech stand will highlight automation technology for flexo, gravure, and offset packaging applications. The easily integrated systems includes in-line inspection, spectral colour measurement, and register control solutions that can be applied on virtually all types of packaging substrates including paper, foil, metallised, and polyethylene and polypropylene films.

Solutions for high quality, repeatability and waste reduction
QuadTech's Color Measurement System with SpectralCam automatically analyzes, captures and reports colour deviations in ?E values that the operator can see in real-time. The QuadTech Color Quality Solution enables the export of spectral data from QuadTech's in-line colour measurement technology to press-side ink recipe software. Then, if required, the necessary ink corrections are generated and a new recipe is accurately formulated and dispensed. The automated, integrated system results in less downtime and reduced waste, and offers assurance of precise colour quality and consistency throughout the press run, from press to press and plant to plant.
The QuadTech Inspection System provides complete quality assurance as it inspects 100 per cent of the web, 100 per cent of the time. Able to detect any defects regardless of colour or location-with the press running uninterrupted at normal print speeds-the system offers increased productivity and greatly reduced waste. Solid-state lighting produces perfect and consistent illumination, enabling the system to see the printed product at its lowest level of granularity, offering consistent, predictable results.
Another solution for converters is the QuadTech Web Viewing System, which can be used as a stand-alone system or in conjunction with the Inspection System. The equipment provides real-time digital viewing of the moving web, and has an intuitive touchscreen interface and job presets, offering complete ease of use. This results in faster job setups and increased time efficiency for the operators, helping to deliver error-free packaging with minimum waste at maximum speed.
QuadTech PDF Verification is a software add-on that allows printers to catch faults before the print run, helping to reduce waste by offering absolute repeatability and perfect quality. In addition, the software automatically stores each job, providing a solid audit trail for enhanced accountability.
QuadTech will also highlight the Autotron 2600 with ClearLogic Register Guidance System, a cost-efficient tool for minimising waste and improving print quality that can be used for a variety of materials including foil, film and paper, as well as for non-print processes such as die-cutting.
Adding traceability and accountability to the production process by storing both live and historical data, the QuadTech Data Central for Inspection enables analysis at the job, product, or plant level, and the data can be accessed from anywhere within the network. The QuadTech Waste Management System can also work alongside this for ultimate productivity, using the data to cut costs and waste by automating finishing equipment and precisely identifying defects.
