FULL STORY
Taghleef Industries (Ti), one of the world's largest suppliers of BoPP, CPP, and PLA films, will present its market-leading solutions at the Xeikon Café Packaging Innovations event, taking place in Belgium from 10 to 12 March. Brand owner of Nativia, Extendo, Derprosa, SynDecor and Vision trademarks, Ti produces 410,000 tons of specialised film for packaging, label, industrial and graphic arts applications. It has a manufacturing footprint in nine countries on five continents. At the Xeikon Café, the company will present its Injection in-mould and Pressure Sensitive/Self Adhesive BoPP label films during live demonstrations and workshops.
Lucija Kralj, product manager Label Films, who will be discussing Integrated Labels Solutions as part of the Technical Conference Program, commented, ‘We are delighted to have the opportunity to demonstrate how our product offering adapts to the latest digital printing technology and we are keen to engage with our audience during this unique event. We are also looking forward to connecting and networking with the key industry players who are eager to explore the potential of digital printing associated with the use of BoPP substrates. It will give Ti the opportunity to capture customers' interest, measure and analyse the market trends around our new technology.’
Ti's films, both in-mould and self-adhesive films, can be printed with Xeikon's ground-breaking dry toner technology. In-mould films are specifically engineered to provide excellent static charge performance to allow optimal finishing and labelling efficiency. They deliver excellent bonding performance to polypropylene containers such as cups, tubs and lids and provide outstanding water resistance. The in-mold product portfolio includes different white voided options from ultra-high yield to high stiffness for different container sizes and after mold finishes. Ti self-adhesive films are used as facestock and release liner backing in self-adhesive label products. Ti films offer key attributes requested by end-users that include specific visual appearance properties, increased stiffness, speed of application for the end user, higher efficiency and better overall performance.
Throughout the Xeikon Café event, visitors will see demonstrations of the Taghleef LIG70 being used as backbone of the live in-mould application for thick walled plastic products. Within this demonstration it will be printed on a Xeikon 3500 and converted on Schober converting line.
Jeroen van Bauwel, director product marketing at Xeikon, concluded, ‘Substrate consistency and reliability are vital to achieving standout print production results. Partnering with such a knowledgeable and widely-recognised expert in this field will give our customers the confidence to move into new markets and expand their revenue streams.’
